This includes her traditional, formal training at the College of Health and Human Science at Colorado State University, and then pursuing a Doctorate of Ayurvedic Medicine through The California College of Ayurveda. More importantly, Gwen shares this wealth of experience and insights gained practicing all over the United States and Europe. Those she treats benefit from many forms of care including Ayurveda and Yogic Science, nutritional guidance and expertise, the healing power of herbs and supplements, and the grounding practices of meditation and breathwork.
Dr. Gwendolynn Diaz has been practicing in modern healthcare for many years while she has been understanding the Science of Nature her whole life. Grounded in science from the College of Health and Human Science at Colorado State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Diaz completed her clinical studies at The California College of Ayurveda where she obtained her title as Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine. She has widespread knowledge of Yogic philosophy and has an extensive background in nutrition, herbs, meditation practices and mental health awareness. Gwendolynn was born and raised in Montrose where she grew up working her way to understanding good health including growing food, hunting wild game, harvesting herbs, she saw the power of nature and the benefit of taking care of ourselves. As she pursued an education in healthcare, she found prevention is the key to longevity and a healthy, well lived life.
Her clinical practice has worldwide patients where she has developed professional connections throughout the western United States and Europe. Her passion lies in the philosophy of Slow Medicine where time is the ultimate factor practicing the Art of Healthcare. As an integrative preventive medicine specialist, Dr. Diaz works with patients taking responsibility for their health long before a debilitating disease shows up in the body resulting in healthy outcomes. Dr. Diaz works with the individual person to find homeostasis in the body. She works with food, herbs, sleep, stress, exercise, and many other techniques to develop a strong base for a patient to really feel well, not just subdue the warning signs of a much deeper imbalance.
