In Sanskrit, mandala literally means circle and center. Mandalas are used throughout many cultures to connect with the inner self. Our first language is pictures. The saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. We will use the sacred art of mandalas to look at our inner self in order to clearly see your vision, dream, goal. Creating a mandala takes concentration and intent, not artistic ability. About the Instructor: Edith Johnston, PhD has extensive experience as a Rehabilitation and Licensed Professional Counselor. She has utilized drawing mandalas as a tool throughout her career with Gifted & Talented Youth, At Risk Youth, adults in counseling and adults exploring their inner world. Drawing mandalas allow you to visualize internal answers and then explore the story they tell. Dr. Johnston has published a book - "Discovering the Intensity of Brilliance, A Mandala Journey".
