About Eric Elison:

"My mom trained as an Opera Singer, and we always had music around the home. I frequently sang along to recordings of all the great musicals, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, Camelot, and the King and I. Some of my favorite albums growing up were: Sing Along With Mitch (Mitch Miller), and Nelson Eddy's, Stout Hearted Men. When I attended High School, I listened to James Taylor, Jim Croce, John Denver, and yes Gordon Lightfoot. I was taken with Gordon Lightfoot's incredible songwriting, and vocal."

​I attended the University of Florida, I began playing at Clubs and Coffee Shops in Gainesville. Gordon Lightfoot was one of the artists whose songs I played frequently (along with Jimmy Buffett, Jackson Browne, Dan Fogelberg, and JJ Cale).  After graduation, I attended Flight Training at Naval Air Station Pensacola, and flew aircraft for the US Navy.  I continued to play and sing. Lightfoot Fans will be pleased to know that I played Gordon Lightfoot's Songs for my fellow Squadron Mates in Antarctica! 

​​Fast forward to 2017, when I became a full time Singer-Songwriter. I recorded my first project, an EP titled Westside Cafe. A few weeks after the project was finished, my Producer called me and remarked on how much I sounded like Gordon Lightfoot. He and others around Nashville, thought I should become a Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Artist.

​Well the rest as they say is History. I took their advice, because I have always loved Gordon Lightfoot's Music, and it's my belief that audiences around the World should have the opportunity to hear Gord's songs performed live in a Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Show!
