Dynamic Landscape Painting Saturday, October 24th | 9:00am - 12:00pm Minimum age: 18 Registration Fee: $60 Material fee: Bring your own materials Spend a morning elevating your painting skills! Hands-on instruction with Virginia Unseld of Yellow House Art Studio & Gallery. Virginia is a plein air and a studio painter, who has been painting the western slope landscape for over forty years, in addition to her thirty years as an art teacher. Don’t miss this opportunity to work with your own favorite media and learn about some others. Virginia will share her knowledge, inspiring the participant to compose scenes comprising what feelings rise to the surface when viewing the landscape, rather than creating a photographic rendering. She will emphasize design elements: composition, mark-making, values and color harmony. Bring a photo reference your preferred ground: canvas, watercolor paper, panels, brushes, acrylic or water miscible oil paints, or pastels. You can bring an unfinished piece, as well. Instructor demos will be in water miscible (mixable) oils and pastels. No solvents please.
