Ellen Stapenhorst

Ellen Stapenhorst is an acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician who has called Western Colorado home for much of her life.  She’s traveled the world for nearly six decades, bringing her original folk music to venues such as castles on the Rhine, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and intimate house concerts.   Ellen was a featured artist at the Grand Mesa Songwriter Festival, and choral arrangements of her songs have been performed by the Aspen Choral Society, the North Fork Community Choir and many others.  Knowing the almost magical power of music to bring people together, she hosts song circles and songwriting groups locally and has released six albums of original songs.

Ellen brings a joyful, authentic warmth and humor to her concerts as she continues her mission of spreading connection and hope in these challenging times.
