Burnish, Bake, & Brews! with Elizabeth Bonzani July 19th, 26th, Aug 2nd, (optional Aug 3rd) | 5:00 - 7:00pm Registration Fee: $90 Material Fee: $10 (includes 5lbs of clay) additional clay can be purchased during the class. Wade into a time-honored tradition with a distinctly celebratory finish! Come and learn how to create terra sigillata (a very fine clay slip) and the process of firing in a barrel with various combustibles. Prior pottery experience required to take this class. Ages 14 and up. Refreshing celebratory beverages will be available for purchase during the loading party on Saturday August 3rd. (I.D. required for adult versions.) Please burnish responsibly. Day 1: Saturday, July 19 - Make pieces and terra sigillata Day 2: Saturday, July 26 - Burnish your pottery pieces Day 3: Saturday, August 2 - Load the sawdust firing barrels - Kick back with a brew or refreshing bev of your choice. Day 4 (optional/time TBD) - Sunday, August 3 - Unload the barrel and be amazed!
