About the Event

Evan Phillips is a wildlife biologist for Colorado Parks and Wildlife in  Montrose, CO. His work involves a variety of species in western  Colorado including Gunnison sage-grouse, bats, raptors, bears,  and mountain lions. He spent several years working as a  technician for Colorado Parks and Wildlife on various greater  sage-grouse and mountain lion projects. He received a M. S.  degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences at South Dakota State  University in 2011, where he worked on elk population  estimation in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He received a B. S.  degree in wildlife biology from Colorado State University in  2006. He has been a member of The Wildlife Society since graduating college.

Evan will speak on the changing migration patterns of the Sandhill Cranes of the Rocky Mountains.
