WOVEN PINE NEEDLE SMALL BASKET or SMALL WALL HANGING with a CABOCHON CLASS $55 per person Plus $20 material fee (paid to instructor) From a simple cabochon to a beautiful Pine Needle basket or wall hanging... your choice! It may look complicated but the truth on weaving a basket is… anyone can do it! . Starting small is the way to begin, but once you ‘ve “caught the fever “you may have a hard time stopping. In this class you will learn the basics of using pine needles, waxed linen and beads to weave around an already prepared stone to create a small basket or wall hanging. Besides basic weaving techniques you will also learn how to add beads, coil and form different shapes. The instructor will be providing a prepared cabochon, pine needles, asst. colors of waxed linen, needles, gauges, tools to share and a tutorial. SUPPLY LIST - Please bring with you the below. I’ll also have extras to share. 1. Small Scissors 2. Awl & Needle Nose Plier 3. Hand/Dish Towel 4. Pin Cushion 5. Thimble 6. Beeswax 7. I’ll have beads available to use on your project. However, if you have some favorite beads, bring them to the class. Beads (15-20 qty) with a good-sized hole to fit a #18 needle through 2x with thread.
