An alcohol ink art class is an immersive experience that introduces participants to the unique techniques and possibilities of working with alcohol inks. The class typically begins with an introduction to alcohol inks, their properties, and the materials needed. Alcohol inks are highly pigmented dyes that are alcohol-based, allowing for fluid movement and blending on non-porous surfaces such as Yupo paper, ceramic tiles, or glass. After the introduction, it's time to dive into the hands-on experience. Each participant is provided with a set of alcohol inks in various colors, along with brushes, droppers, and other tools for manipulation. The instructor demonstrates various techniques, such as dripping, blowing, and layering, to achieve different effects. As you experiment with the inks, you'll quickly discover their unpredictable nature, which adds an element of excitement to the process.
