About the Event

Come hear the extraordinary sounds of The Ordinary Two! A duo from Cedaredge, CO whose creation has been a long time in the making. Guitarist Jim Disner, who has shared the stage with jazz greats like Stanley Jordan and Ron Miles, joins his wife, vocalist Tanya Disner, in laid-back, acoustic, indie-pop, with a lot of jazz flavor and sweet vocal harmonies.

Jim fell in love with Tanya when he first heard her sing. Theirs is a story of inspiring love and overcoming odds. Sultry vocals and fancy fretwork spin tales of life, love and the open road in a unique Alternative/Folk/Jazz blend of simultaneously humorous, inspiring, and mournful original songs - along with some unexpected covers. Together they harmonize like only soul-mates can.

With the 2018 release of their self-titled EP "The Ordinary Two" the duo began performing across the country, travelling in their DIY-converted camper/touring/mobile studio van they named Werner. In 2019 the touring continued, along with the release of the double-single "Lesser Travelled Road / We're not Gonna Take It".

When the pandemic cancelled all of their shows in 2020, they streamed "Couch Concerts" online. For 13 months they performed from home or wherever they were to keep their sanity. You sit on your couch and they will entertain you! They also kept busy recording and releasing the singles - "When The World Stops Ending", "DMV", and "Find You".

A collaboration EP with the retro-R&B horn-band, Muchly Suchwise, in 2021 brought a new take on three of their songs, also a partial return to live performances.

2022 saw the release of “Live-ish”. Recorded in 2020, it is a collection of live, and as-close-to-live-as-you-could-get-during-the-pandemic tracks. It is only available as a digital download at ordinarytwo.com or on CD at live shows. Also, "Change", the first single from their upcoming LP. A haunting lament of the struggle to stay above the abyss while watching the world change before your eyes. Ever knowing that Love is the answer.

In 2023 the pair moved their home base from Denver to Cedaredge, in western Colorado, to be near family, friends, and the flourishing music and arts community. 2024 promises to be an exciting year with two albums in the works and lots of concerts.
