Creating Mixed Media Art

Class Description

Saturday, June 29th from 11-3:30 Fee $45 + $10 Material fee to instructor At the Art Garage Let’s incorporate the Principles and Elements of Design, in creating small studies. We will be using different mark making tools, unique materials and pigments to create cohesive studies. These small studies can evolve into future large scale art pieces. This is a beginners course, yet all levels are welcome. You will learn new techniques to incorporate in your art. Some of the materials we will be using: Watercolors Acrylic inks Brushes, various sizes Foam wedges Oil Pastels Collage papers Stamps & ink pad Stencils Newspaper & magazines Scissors and exacto knives Colored pencils and/or watercolor pencils Sharpie markers Pencils Ruler PVA glue Hair dryers Krylon/workable fixatif 140 lb watercolor paper (5” x 5” and larger) Paper towels Table cloths Mat board Bring: -Watercolors or I will provide. -Special collage materials if you wish. -Snack or lunch and beverage with screw top.
