Composition with Chine Collé

Class Description

Saturday, October 26th 10:00 - 3:00 $55 per person plus $15 materials fee paid to instructor Minimum age 18 Students will work intuitively with assorted paper fragments to make collages. Each collage will be a lesson on compositional rules such as vertical; horizontal; diagonal; below-horizon emphasis; and above horizon emphasis. Each student will work at a table with a baren, paste, and a size template, to create these compositions. There will be lots of leeway on color and proportions and the choice of paper fragments in all colors will be vast. Students will go home with collages that show each compositional guideline.
