Beginning Ballet & Tap - May

For Elementary Students


Class Description

May 6th, 13th, and 20th Cost - $30 Classes will encourage fun, coordination, self-discipline, ballet techniques, tap techniques, and timing. Required clothing for ballet: Girls need to wear pink tights, black leotard any style, a black ballet skirt and pink ballet shoes. Long hair must be pulled up. Boys need to wear a white plain, not baggy, t-shirt and a black pair of shorts with spandex shorts under, black ballet shoes with short white socks. They can find all items online or at Walmart. Required for tap: Black tap shoes, any style. About Miss Linda Johnstun Miss Linda moved to Cedaredge in July of 2022. Linda has been the owner/director of Linda’s School for Dance in Utah for 57 years. Her dance company performances include: Disney Land and Disney World, Ms. Holiday Cruise ship, San Antonio Riverwalk, New York City, half time Utah Jazz, Grand Ole Opry and Branson Missouri. Choreographer for many high school and college musicals. Miss Linda has been on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was awarded Total Citizen of the Year and Price City Visionary Service Leader. She was instrumental in bringing the International Folkfest to her community. Miss Linda has taught tap (her favorite), classical ballet and pointe, jazz, modern, ballroom. She also taught children’s recreational folkdance in the elementary schools. She is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dance, member of Dance Educator of America, attended College of Eastern Utah and the University of Utah. Miss Linda has enjoyed being closer to her family and watching her grandsons many interests, playing golf, and meeting new friends. She volunteered to help with Cedaredge High School drama productions under the direction of Mr. Parsons and has enjoyed working with the high school students.
